It's Saturday here and I am letting go. I get up when I feel like getting up and I write when I feel like writing. I work when I feel like working. I am living freely, according to my own nature.
Yesterday I had a combination traditional Chinese massage coupled with a traditional Western oil massage. Actually, it was a blend of both and I, a devotee of massage, appreciate the delights of both.
I think that's what my being here is all about: discovering what I want to discard from my life, what I want to keep and what I want to acquire. I am transforming my being.
I was sick with the flu the first three weeks of my stay here in Beijing, which forced me to slow down, rest and contemplate. I had to let China seep in..and alter my life.
My strength is coming back now. My words are flowing now.
The "China Process" has begun.

Sorry to hear you were so sick. I think getting settled in a new area, especially a totally different country can be hard on your immune system. Also the viruses and bacteria are totally different (not bad, just different) and it will take your body time to adjust. I hope you enjoy Beijing. I visited there for a few days in 1994 and really enjoyed my time. I can't imagine what it would be like to live there. How long is your stay?
